Peace and Planning

I assigned this oldie-but-goodie for my community engagement class to read for today. Very much looking forward to their perspectives on this…and if they pick up on any of these themes in the public meetings they will be evaluating.

As someone interested in #transportation and making our #streets safe for all road users, I’m torn between, “I’m a cyclist, but…” (I’m skeptical of anything that comes after a “but” in that framing) and “I really wish all mode users could come together and talk about this rationally and compassionately. But in the meantime let me tell you about how [choose your adventure: bikes/ scooters/ buses/ pedestrians/ streateries] are ruining the (read: my) world.”
